you did take them for a reason even if they’re 7 seconds long and you can mostly hear yourself screaming over the sound or they’re 12 minutes long but you are covering the mic with a finger cos u were so into listening in real time it still takes u back!!!

this is only fun if your hometown is small, or if you’re nostalgic for a specific venue. found this awesome at the drive-in set from 1999 and it’s rocking my world

if you walked into my room at any given time between ages 12-16, this was 1000% on my screen. or ahs murder house. thats not an exaggeration: this stupid little film was my way of life for years and years and years, my comfort watch. its a classic that every emo kid has seen, surely, but i am certain that no sane human could possibly NOT respect/enjoy it even if you arent emo/never fw them. a concert divided into two acts with a full fucking circus on tour with them. full burlesque dancer breaks and an intermission. most impressive of all? bassist (jon) is the oldest in this clip at like 21 i think? brendon urie was 18, ryan ross 19, spencer 16. so brilliant it blows my mind every time

In December 2017 I went to a local festival in my city that was one day only and I saw cage the elephant live and that was one of the best concert experiences I’ve had to this day. I also saw Green Day earlier that year (primarily to watch catfish and the bottlemen open for them) and I was really pleasantly surprised with how great of a show they put on. When I moved to NYC the first concert I saw here was weyes blood, about six months after titanic rising came out, and it was one of the few times I’ve cried at a show. One of my first ā€œpost-Covidā€ shows was japanese breakfast at brooklyn steel, and that show just felt so whole and I think about it often. I got to see IDLES’ sold out Bowery ballroom show earlier this year and that one was just so fun and memorable for me. Love a good mosh pit, love a room full of people who are all there because they love the artist/band just as much as you do. Julia Jacklin’s solo acoustic show earlier this year was hauntingly beautiful and it made me a bigger fan of her for sure. Sorry this is 6 concerts but this is technically my top 10% so I think that’s good enough.

didnt realise until recently that people dont take their birthday off but as a attention seeking leo im obsessed with mine and couldn’t imagine doing anything for other people on my special day! even if you like ur work and don’t have big plans for the day just take it as your birthright (šŸ˜) to do the things you enjoy doing the most, even (or especially) if itā€˜s doing nothing and just hanging out in your bed in ur pjs

so much more fun to talk about the ā€œ20-year-oldā€ or ā€œthe writerā€ or ā€œ the bri-ish dudeā€ than having your friends memorize the names of people you might never see again also very sex&the city coded you know romanticize your life and it also feels like a tv-show

especially when living alone cause you 1. always have something to cuddle 2. can crawl under both when you're feelin a lil more cold and cozy 3. can take a nap between the two to not commit to a full blown sleep 4. are instantly ready to host friends who come over!
