I haven’t done this in a couple months and there‘s like a psychological itch that needs to be scratched by staring at a really big painting for a very long time it’s an amazing feeling

Oh yes, I do this too, I've got a dozen mapped out across the country...that feeling of the rest of the world slowly being obscured by blinders is fascinating.

i often just want to paint real quick. intending to just dabble a bit. before i know it. i’m deep into the painting. completely absorbed. i might think - that’s enough for today. but then i notice a small corner that needs attention. and suddenly. two more hours have flown by. it’s like time doesn’t exist when i’m in that zone. leaving the studio feels almost surreal. as if i’m stepping back into reality from another world. i have this with absolutely nothing else

Painted on a big format for the first time ever! I bought a bigger canvas than I ever had before following a friend’s rec but I didn’t try painting on it until two months after I bought it.
I painted without looking at the time for hours and I’m so happy. Nowhere near done but I hadn’t felt the peace and flow of creation in so long, it’s the only thing that matters.

I've had a hankering for painting for days and today I finally made some time to do it and now I've sank hours into it and I'm having a great time

Saying ‘I’m going to my room’ is so mundane and I’m never going back to it

like actually going out and trying things. put in an effort and take pride in that (being effortless is soooo out for 2024). use this platform to find new amazing things! you can never really know what you like and what brings you joy and fulfillment and all that cheesy stuff unless you actually go and really try a bunch of stuff. I love trying!
