I’ve always been a very polite girl. But recently, i’ve learned that great pleasure can be revealed to you from talking back. At work. In the car at other cars in the form of honking. Gotta be careful and choose the right moments, but when you do…. there’s nothin like it.

🗣answered the phone at work and was immediately berated by some karen. i was professional, but refused to let it slide. so right as she was trying to get off the phone, i said, “one more thing: i understand you were frustrated, but you cannot yell at me while i’m at work.” she tried to turn it around and say EYE yelled at HER, which was just A LIE. like idk if that lil trick works on her husband, but it wasn’t working on me. held my ground, and even though she didn’t apologize, i could tell she was shook getting off the phone. i guess people don’t correct her very often. so happy i didn’t let her get away with it. fuck that bitch, but also: a little commotion for the self-respect!

💋always an advocate for dishing back and asserting myself back but theres something additive about watching the facade crumble when they realize they cannot impact your mood. bonus points when they’re being assholes & everybody starts staring bc theyre being unnecessary

😃i’m usually a kind person, however, things have changed recently. this summer i had the displeasure of being around a handful of incredibly rude people who brought the worst out of me. though bringing the worst out of me might sound like a bad thing, i don’t regret telling a rude coworker not to talk to me about sucking his definitely real girl friends toes. all of this to say, being mean for the right reasons is a game changer.

Visited Seattle this week and found this lil speak easy, there is no menu and the bartenders come around to your table and ask you what flavors/textures/spirits you like and then create a delicious little spectacle of a beverage especially for you. Thought it was gonna be gimmicky but honestly was the first time i’ve ever even thought about what i really liked in a cocktail and had a LOVELY time.
