In elementary school my best friend and I made up a religion where the deity is a tree in the school yard. We’d go to the tree and pray for good grades and bad luck to the girl we did not like. At the end of each prayer, we’d say “sasasasa” as an amen, an onomatopoeia of sand flying from a gust of wind.

clinging to a handful of leaves on a tree like a human hand bc I need to connect to another being. earnestly and urgently. trees are intelligent but I don’t think they gaf abt me and my problems

I love to watch Phantom Thread when I’m sick. The music and imagery are beautiful and not abrasive, everyone speaks softly with precision, most of all watching Daniel Day-Lewis suffer from illness alongside me is very comforting.

🫧Not on purpose.. but don’t sweat it when it happens by accident.. it’ll dry quickly enough, then the paper will harden into a crispily wrinkled texture that is so nice to flip through. ok if you must do it on purpose.. drink from an iced beverage on top of your notebook and dew from the surface of the glass will drop down nicely.

🧤The method of picturing people naked never did anything for me. I like to imagine them getting dressed instead: first picking out a bottom, then a top, looking into the mirror, evaluating, trouble shooting, finalizing. It’s so human.. the little desire to impress. Recommend for when you’re bored in public.
