as stupid and expensive as they are they are an absolute necessity. getting orthotic inserts reopened a world of walking everywhere all the time again sans seemingly perpetual pain. i travelled this summer and legitimately i was most worried about getting my shoes stolen (whether logical or not) cause i´d be a mess without my inserts.
shitty thing is that they don’t fit into all shoes so a shoe choice in the morning takes a lot more thought now

benefits include toes being extra separated. they’re really squishy and feel nice in between your toes. Originally got them bc my dad was wearing them and claims they improve his balance.
