carrying your neighbors mail up the stairs and leaving it outside their door
I will admit that I have never met my next-door neighbor, but sometimes when she has a package I carry it up for her and just leave it on her doormat. It’s like a little fairy mail delivery system. We live in a walk up, so I feel like it might be a treat.

My neighbour is a super old lady that can’t even hear very well anymore so I always get her newspaper for her and leave it at her door so she doesn’t have to walk down the stairs in the morning. She’s so old that she confuses me with my mom but I never correct her. Sometimes she writes me letters thanking my family and I for helping her. It makes me so happy, keep doing it too :) !

i live in an apartment complex where the mailbox is a 3-5 min walk so it's a nice excuse to force myself to go outside even if I know there is nothing in the mailbox. maybe you could try something like that? but also ik ppl like going to parks to read or doodle ppl or birds or smth, but even going out to do errands will get you outside!

Sending mail to your friends
Pen pal letters...post it note doodles...mini folded zines...tiny abstract paintings...fun stickers...etc.! I've even printed out silly internet memes and made paper collages with them. Postal correspondence is a great way to brighten someone's day...and opening your mailbox to find an envelope hand-addressed to you with Good Stuff inside from someone you care about? It sure beats just getting bills and junk mail!

walking home
If you’re within an hour walk from home, you should just walk home. I understand taking public transit or an Uber there to be on time, but you’re not rushing to get home. Thus, walk.
