Redwall

The men are mice and the orcs are rats! There's battles and long journeys and riddles and feasts. There's so many books it may be hard to decided where to start, but my first was Marlfox and it was randomly in the middle. I'd recommend beginning with Redwall (first published) to get a feel for the world. And if you like it, read Mossflower, Martin the Warrior, and The Legend of Luke—in that order. Oof, I get emotional just thinking of those last three. Due for a re-read.

i cant remember the name

of this one series but I remember reading it as a middle schooler in the early-00's and it was about a group of children with supernatural abilities. one girl was telepathic and listened to metal to drown out peoples thoughts, and there were some dark creatures that caused magnetic disturbances (paperclips made a big appearance) and now that I've written it out it sounds quite a bit like stranger things. but also, Redwall Captain Underpants Animorphs Incarnations of Immortality (which was v much not age appropriate mom what were you thinking) The Wheel of Time series The Dark Tower series

And a fire engine goes by. And I give them the thumbs up. And, and ask a woman what kind of dog that is. And, and I don't know. The moral of the story is, is we're here on Earth to fart around. And, of course, the computers will do us out of that. And, what the computer people don't realize, or they don't care, is we're dancing animals. You know, we love to move around. And, we're not supposed to dance at all anymore.
