There are so many reasons why this film is my absolute favorite. However, this is for all the crazy bitches. I could go on and on about how great this movie is but all I can say is, it will take you on an emotionally tolling ride. Isabelle Huppert gives such a gut-wrenching performance, truly unlike anything ive ever seen before. Itās so memorable, I can still vividly remember each scene. #FemcelsRule
A friend recommended I watch this film after I gave him an in-depth explanation of my sexual dysfunction(s). Itās directed by Michael Haneke, known best for both the German and U.S. versions of āFunny Gamesā, so you already know it's fun for the whole family. Iāve been obsessed with it ever since. I fear it has possessed me. If youāve seen it, you know more about me than I would willingly divulge even after years of friendship. I almost dressed as the protagonist for Halloween this year. In turn, Iāve become obsessed with Isabelle and sheās now one of my top five favorite actresses. Her poise and courage on screen is unmatched, not to mention raw sex appeal. She really is Mother/Maman.
Itās a french thriller dealing with suppressed guilt and is a broader commentary on the violent past of France. Also, itās directed by Michael Haneke whose still, cinematic shots I absolutely admire.
i recommend listening to music. people have been listening to music for thousands of years and weāll do it for thousands more. hereās a spreadsheet that i use to track albums/mixtapes/EPs i listen to at work. i need to find a better way to take into account singles⦠but for now, this is my preferred way to remember what music i listen to. my favourites are highlighted in green. right now, iām really into trap, scottish twee pop, and ambient music⦠but this will change
