Recently, I've delved into the archives of BBC Radio's show Desert Island Discs. The concept of the show is that each guest are sent to a desert island and can only take eight discs, a book, and a luxury item with them. The show spans back 80 years and has had a myriad of guests. The most recent one that caught my eye was Cillian Murphy. It's exciting to see what pieces of music had an impact on people's lives.

๐ถyou'd be surprise, or maybe not, at how much they do with artists and stuff and a lot of them are really cool and amazing to me in particular like episodes lucy dacus has done for the bbcsounds app or with gillian anderson (havenโt actually gotten round to listening to either but very excited to)
that as well as a range of live recordings and sessions with some great artists
recommend checking it out iโm not actually sure if the bbcsounds app is available outside the uk but lmk

๐ผLibraries have EVERYTHING and I find it utterly fascinating. Recently, I got an Apple USB Superdrive which allows me to upload my CDs and play DVDs on my Macbook and it has changed my life. Whenever I come across a movie I want to see, I just check it out of my local library and watch it on my laptop. It provides me with the nostalgia of watching movies on DVD as a kid, and you also get all the additional bonuses that come with the disc as well, like interviews and behind-the-scenes.
