Sarma is the best restaurant (for food) in the Boston area. It may not be the ~vibiest~ place, but the plates are unparalleled flavor and at a fraction of the price you'd pay anywhere else. You can easily get a gourmet dinner for under $80 (incl. tip, without drinks).

being home in massachusetts im surrounded by these joints. the food is always average, but that's not the point. it's about the consistency, the booths, the drip coffee, the plastic cups and ceramic mugs, the vinyl tables, the yellow paper receipt, and yes, the passable food. never had a bad conversation or experience with a loved one at a greasy spoon. also a great place to eat alone and read a newspaper like a little old chap. what you order at a diner says a lot about you

all the 24hr restaurants have been washed away by the pandemonium...(talking about the best new york food places is tough -the instinct is to keep the underrated spots to yourself so you donβt blow up the spot and then have to deal with a line of people.On the other hand you want them to do well and stay open forever and spread the word.)This is the 24 hour spot for the most mindblowing food. looks like a gas station booth honestly. but secretly Pakistan's finest. chicken sandwich or Samosa Chaat , all GREAT.if you wanna sit and eat 24/7 seems like only Remedy Diner at the moment unfortunately.
