buy a $60 candle. Only light it when you are celebrating and the smell will bring you back to those times. Can probably be done with other occasions. Intentionally Categorize your memories by scent

Lighting a really good scented candle can turn a slump into a beautiful day for me. I like having only one fancy one on the go at a time so that it becomes the scent memory of that moment. I’m currently still burning through St Eval’s Inspiritus From Christmas, it’s one of my all time favourites, it smells like churches at Christmas.

Among other things. Smell is such an important part of having a comfortable home to me. You don’t want to overdo it obviously and have your place smelling like a high school kid sprayed an entire can of Axe inside but a little fragrance absolutely makes a difference and improves your mood. Bonus having seasonal scents, now with colder coming on I like earthy, woodsy, smoky, leathery even scents. One of my favorites for the season in the link, Kobo Modena Leather.

Melting wax that smells like burning wood. 🕯️ Really delivers in late August when you’re jonesing for that comfy-cozy winter feeling but do not want melting wax that smells like spices (e.g., cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin).

I dropped out of VCU in 2016 after three semesters of failing most of my gen eds, never declaring a major, getting wasted and waking up in punk houses I just submitted a portfolio to Pratt and I’m feeling a lot of complicated feelings but mostly I’m very nervous. I never thought I would go back to school, especially not art school. Hoping to make adolescent Griffin proud Just make a decision and do the thing
