these stations filled my childhood rides to school... now ill play this type of music in the morning sometimes (shania, whitney, faith hill, natasha bedingfield, santana, etc) and feel truly... light. also somehow this genre makes me feel more like a grown adult woman for reasons i cannot explain

im a Hispanic 2000s baby yet this is the music that will always send me back, nothing is as warm & sweet to me as this genre & its endless classics. my immigrant parents would Listen to these on the radio all the time, not knowing the words & how beautiful they are, but knowing it’s fire all the same. the most comforting thing has been listening to this on my own & then still hearing it on the radio station I grew up tuned into. some things just never change & this era of music will always be the cool rain I need on a hot day

my mum always used to always play me the song as a little kid. as i grew up i realised it would have been her comfort song after splitting up with my dad... heartbreaking stuff, but i have very fond memories associated with it - dancing in the kitchen with her, singing along to it in the car etc. 🫶🏾

i once broke my phone and due to unforeseen circumstances I wasn’t able to get a new one for a couple weeks so I was forced to take time without it, and to be honest, it was beautiful! its nice to say “ah my phone wasn’t on me / my phone was broken so I couldn’t respond.“
since then I’ve done some time intentionally leaving my phone at home when I leave to have a bit of solace and experience the world around me for a moment without needing headphones in or checking notifications constantly. great stuff!!

this is the good stuff right here, aquaphor healing balm stick, it’s literally just a thick chapstick that’s for your hands. i was sick and tired of wanting to heal my skin and having to rub all this goop and cream into my hands (getting my fingertips all goopy in the process). this chapstick thing is a LIFESAVER it avoids weird fingertip texture with cream AND it’s incredibly easy to apply to a smaller area or your entire hand!!
