“Every storm runs out of rain” -Maya Angelou And to snowball off this… we do not need to be storm chasers- running alongside the storm, looking up at the rain and asking “why are you here!?”. We can instead heave a seat, feel the rain wash over us, and before we know it, the storm will have passed because “every storm runs out of rain” ☁️🌧️🌦️☀️ AND even in the heaviest of storms, the sun is still shining behind the clouds. And so are we. No matter how many clouds are currently covering you, let them be comforting blankets and take refuge in the warmth of the sun beneath😌 Trust the storm will be over soon because they always are, no matter how long it takes💗

That simple quote has stuck with me ever since I first heard it. To me it says that we have to face our present challenges in life head on, that it will be difficult but we have to embrace the chaos and put in the effort if we want to get to our ideal place. Change takes effort and things do get better with time and we should always remind ourselves to learn to dance in the rain. Yes, we can be crying for the moon about how we feel unfulfilled but we have to at least try and live in the moment and plan/dream of better days.

it‘s a cliche for sure, but in recent years i have become a big believer in every event, good or bad, having some sort of purpose, whether it be a big or little one. i guess this helps me to stay content in the moment because it reminds me that, “hey! i know you might be upset about this thing right now, but it’ll work out. you just have to let it.” i am a big time worrier, and i always want to control situations as much as i can, but i have found that if i just let them play out, they’ll go the way they were meant to. (and if it’s not in a good way, at least it’s a good story). and, honestly, it helps me just remembering what a miracle it is to be alive at all; to have the blessing of living at the same time as the people i love; to feel the sun shine on my face in that very moment. we are so small in the grand scheme of things, but here we are!!! how wonderful is that!!! it’s like in ”vienna”: “slow down, you’re doing fine, you can’t be everything you wanna be before your time.”

inspired by a convo I had today + Sabrina Carpenter’s speech at a variety event last year (?) I hope this reminder finds anyone who needs it because I know I needed to hear it today (yes I was tweaking out ok) — I know this sounds awfully annoying when you’re in the midst of it all but I hope we find it in ourselves to genuinely fall in love with the process, whatever that means for us as individuals — whether that’s with a craft, goal, or vision etc etc. for me personally i am learning to appreciate the version of myself rn. to expand, the version who is still trying to figure out how showing up authentically looks like for me, feeling v awkward while doing so, but also trying to remember that i will never have her again. i saw this quote also the other day and it really moved me

There are SO many great series out here these days, and this isn’t anything new or groundbreaking, but I’ve been watching Adventure Time since I was a little kid- I have watched it in full dozens of times at least. I’m amazed every viewing at how I am able to understand new profound themes along with new levels of silliness. The creator is basically a genius and I think it’s one of the most beautiful and underrated cartoons everrrrr

I’ve been obsessed with this app that identifies birdies based on their calls and songs! It’s incredible how many different birds are in my yard at different times of day. I’m so excited to use it while traveling too🙌
