gen x movie/tv taste

my dad loves the godfather, the original star wars trilogy, the sopranos and dazed and confused. my mom loves gilmore girls, the sound of music, the princess bride and monty python and the holy grail. they both love the xfiles and i’ve watched it with them so many times. it’s one of my favorite shows now and one of our childhood dogs was named Scully because of it.

Godfather I AND II

My mother’s two favorite films. Growing up she was always a lover of film but these two movies were her shit. It always confused me because she’s a die hard Christian that barely swears and is a Jesus Stan. The older I get tho, the more I realize she probably loves it because my mother is a master at mind games. Which makes a good gangster in my mind.
