Went swimming before i went to work this morning and it was holy. I went in a women’s only hour which was full of mostly old women and it felt so joyous. Turns out people are right about moving your body I guess.

First time this summer, i'm so happy i went. me n my fiancé swam for two hours at the neighbourhood pool, played cornhole (i won 14-4) and laid in the sun like lizards. I felt awesome and cool being able to do summer things again.

at the rec center, at the y, at free outdoor pools like the mccarren park pool… it’s so fulfilling to move your body in a way that doesn’t feel punishing because the water is truly carrying you and you are water!!! any time I find myself working too hard / tiring myself out, I let myself float 10% more and it’s also a therapy session in that way

I am by no means traditionally religious, but I fully understand how being in the presence of beautiful stained glass can feel like being with god. ALWAYS stop off at a church on the way if you think it might have good stained glass. The bluebells in the bottom right corner of this made me loose my breath for a moment.
