I started doing this a few years ago. when your berries are going bad (or I guess you can use ripe but I mostly use the almost too old soft ones) put em in a pan and smash em up to get the juices out. I add a little maple syrup, cinnamon, tiniest bit of lemon juice, and some chia seeds to thicken her up. I think better than store bought and I smother my toast in it
I think this method would work great with frozen fruit too because the icey melt creates that liquid. However, I use it mostly as a waste diversion recipe
it's literally so easy. just fruit and sugar and cook til it's a thick consistency. get crazy with the combos. this is my strawberry rhubarb and blueberry jam. get cute lil jars to share with your loved ones. put it on homemade scones. no more overpriced grocery store jam!
This jam is so good. My favorite is cherry chai, but also like the strawberry lemongrass and forbidden fruit. Put it on toast or add it to some greek yogurt.
Monday is my favorite day of the week. Get the week going. Reset. Cook something yummy. Workout or not. Read. long shower. No pressure to be anywhere. Maybe a casual friend walk⦠no plan Monday *chefs kiss *
