Obviously play with your cat. But if you play with your cat ten minutes before meals you simulate the natural hunting instinct. Curbs misdirected aggression and also I think makes them enjoy their food more. Just my two cents.. that Jackson Galaxy agrees with.

this has become a part of my morning routine and i look forward to it every day. I make my coffee and the cats come into the kitchen and start chirping at me because they know the game is about to commence. we mostly feed them wet food so if they’re getting kibble, it’s gonna be some form of enrichment. each of them stand in different rooms and wait for me to throw pieces of kibble in their direction one by one. Coco goes truly feral for this game and will sprint, flip, fly, glide, and shove herself into any tiny corner to get her kibble nibbles. Uma is the smaller one and will play with anything and is in general good at self amusement but it took her longer to catch on. she likes when i throw her pieces into boxes where she can pounce on top of them. afterwards they either settle down for a good long nap together or get some window time. if you have cats, especially those under 12 months and/or with good hunting instincts, i recommend you try the kibble game.

I had an idea the other day to start posting new ways & resources that us cat owners can use to improve our feline’s quality of life, so that’s what i’m doing. To kick this off I wanted to recommend this book by Mikel Maria Delgado called Play With Your Cat! You might not think there needs to be a whole entire book based on playing with your cat but trust me it’s 100% necessary. I think we tend to take for granted how important interactive play time is for our cats, not only for its ability to help overcome a lot of behavioral problems & built up energy but also for creating stronger bonds with your cat. So I urge everyone to head over to their nearest bookstore, grab a copy, & maybe even pick up a teaser at a pet store if you don’t have one already.

My cat taught me intuitive eating. I can tell when she is getting hungry and then I give her food accordingly. It’s never at an exact time and she only eats until she is full. If I give her food at the same time every day she will just stare at me like I’m an idiot.

They make you feel strong but you have to be careful or you will be too mean when you wear them

Me and my girlfriend have been getting into tennis its so fun. Your body moves in a really great way when you play and makes you feel glad. I still suck but am starting to be able to get a volley going from the backline. It is a good feeling to hit that ball right and run around. Almost as good as soccer.

Im no expert and theres no guarantee i’ll stick with it …. But fixin up an old tascam four track i got off craigslist the past few evenings has been so great. You know disassembling at my desk under a lamp, keeping track of components, cleaning all that crap. Cant wait to fix this little spring and to do some lubricating. Its good to throw yourself into little things after work which is maybe more of what this is a rec for. Anyway I dont even know if i’ll fix it hopefully i do and can use it for songs and things and hopefully i dont fuck it up but these things tend to work out ok with enough attention.
