I got the bullets! Super outdated moments (james deansā character kept being misogynistic to his mom for no reason was annoying) and all of the kids had daddy issues. But it still had itās redeemable moments kinda! really only glad i finally heard the ābulletsā quote that was referenced in la la land. Gotta be honest, it does get you invested at times, heart racing even. Pretty cheap to buy/rent on apple tv rn.
ONE OF THE COOLEST MOVIES OF ALL TIME! It's actually a great look at race relations? Gabby Union is telling Kirsten Dunst not to put her white guilt money into her cheer squad, and the scene doesn't feel too "shea buttery" because Ms. Union remains one of the coolest, hottest women in the entire world. And the love story in this still works, with Dunst realizing that her corn-fed boy-toy is a loser, and that she should go with this rock and roll boy!!!! Dope movie to watch with your lady taste is taste :)
Despite being bogged down by incredible direction, storytelling, cinematography, and set design⦠this flickās saving grace is Henry Fonda as a villain.
ā¦because how did the Safdie bros make coparenting in New York more stressful than a drug-fueled night of crime? I love a bad dad movie & this one takes the cake. Heās TRYING, okay???
On letterboxd. Like how do you rate the Virgin Suicides or Killer of the Flower Moon?! So heavy and devastating!
Fully sticking to just saying whether i like a movie or not going forward!
coworker who followed me on letterboxd on my second day working there, who i rarely see, complimented my reviews this week and i got giddy as hell. She had me stuttering and i havent come down from that high, sheās so cool too
