I always feel more put together and more competent when my nails feel nice and itâs really nice when they rub lotion on your hands at the end. omgitscarols and I always go in each others bday which is cute and fun and is in line with my momâs rec to go get your nails done at least a couple times a year- my fav splurge for sure
Even if you donât actually like them that much, so much time and money goes into that shit and it makes people feel good!! Honestly compliments in general but this is one of my favorites.
Itâs a little thing that makes me feel put together and since itâs not something I have to do for hygiene purposes it feels extra special. And having to sit to wait for them to dry really makes me slow down.
i am a long fake nails girl so i am frequently getting manicures but i recently started getting pedicures when i can afford to and it is honestly so nice to have your toes done it feels so like clean and polished and pretty.
I was going through the Ignatian approach to education today (adapted from the Spiritual Exercises for those keeping track at home) and this tenet is just so good.
St. Ignatius says that a person, âought to be more eager to put a good interpretation on a neighborâs statement than to condemn it.Further, if one cannot interpret it favorably, one should ask how the other means it. If the meaning is wrong, one should correct the person with love; if this is not enough, one should search out every appropriate means through which, by understanding the statement in a good way, it may be saved.â
This is very Hanlonâs razor (never attribute to malice what you can attribute to stupidity/ignorance) and I just feel like having a curious posture like this is a major slay and makes us better people
