I will have to revisit on my own one day as I didn‘t get to linger as much as I’d like (Rachel Weiss was standing in front of a wall I wanted to stand in front of for a long time.) The work is demanding, alluring, and felt somewhat mystical to me. I don’t know much at all about this artist yet, but if you like abstract painting, I recommend a visit.
Crazy shit!! Ludicrously intricate paintings that are often about how human geographies are formed; you could look at these for hours and hours and hours… a good chunk her work is in the MoMA so if y’all are around there and haven’t seen her stuff… I mean…
This was rec'd by someone on here and I got to make the tour. I thought it was pretty cool and accessible. it breaks down the main things of this wondrous monster of a painting and I plan on visiting this online interactive experience as long as it exists because this is one of my favorite pieces.
I really hate art. Why do I keep on talking about it? Anyways, this place is cool. You should come and hang sometime. I really enjoyed the Harris Rosenblum show there last year.
