Story time! Today I went to my one of my favorite coffee shops in Brooklyn. It was a bit packed so I took a seat next to a guy who sparked a conversation with me. We spent the next hour talking and then even went to Beaconโs Closet together. He was visiting from the UK, so I was giving him some of my recs and helping him find a leather jacket. Anyway, Andrew from Yorkshire, thanks for making my day!
I have posted many times about my Friday adventures to the cafe. As I am trying to learn to take myself out on dates, I also am trying to make some friends and acquaintances along the way. Iโm trying to develop a sense of community for myself outside of home and work.
Yesterday I had a lovely time drawing at the cafe and I had a conversation with the older man who was sitting next to me. I think heโs been there once before but this time he was asking me about my art. I learned that he used to make art as well. It was a really nice little chat and it really made me feel alive !!! :) I hope to have more instances like this in the future <3
