i read this in like 24 hours it's an incredible novel about palestinian resistance from the perspective of a palestinian refugee named nahr, now in solitary confinement, telling her story from the beginning....i loved this story so much
I just finished reading “I will greet the sun again” by Khashayar J. Khabushani. Such a beautiful layered book about a young queer iranian boy growing up in LA with his family In the 90’s/00’s. Some of the reviews say it’s devastating and beautiful. It really is. I left it with knots in my stomach and a real want for freedom. What are some of your recommendations?
… her writing is incredible, this story is so expansive and beautiful and sad. Just finished it three days ago and have not stopped thinking about it !!!
A Palestinian/Dutch actress raised in the UK leaves her life in London and ends up taking part in a staging of Hamlet in the West Bank. I won’t say more of the plot, only that this was a book I stole away to read every second I could and that when I finished it I was vibrating and needed to stare at the wall for a minute. These characters became so real to me 😭
