Emily: I loved and connected with this book so much, it perfectly encapsulates the experience of liking hardcore and the rituals, nuances, and sensibilities associated with it

When I first started reading this I was in shock because I didn’t know people were allowed to write books like this — so incredibly honest in an almost jarring way. I’m already re-reading it. The book is only around 65 pages and is a reflection on a passionate affair Annie had with a married man. She was so obsessed with him in, at times, a very relatable way. It feels so intimate, like you’re reading a personal diary.

I finished this on the plane home today, and it did in fact make me Cry In Public™️ (which I must admit, is an average experience for me). But, this hit home for me! A book about toxic love, insecurity, and depression. Also, why are all the books I've read by Irish writers so sad? Are y'all ok?

Lived in southeastern pa my entire life and always enjoyed fishing and hiking growing up. Been spending the last few years reading and learning more about properly identifying the native and invasive flora in our area. So many delicious edible berries/fruits and mushrooms to be had, just have to know what you’re looking for.

Preying on insecurities is morally repulsive, but it does offer some of the most appealing packaging; scratch offs, energy drinks, gas station dick pills. Some shit screaming at you in all caps reading MONEY TIME and you think, “yeah, maybe my life can change too”. And even if we all know that its promise is hollow, just being in the presence of such boldness is comforting.
