I miss this place sm 🥲 amazing coffee and food, baristas are so cool and kind. usually someone spinning records in there 🪩🕺🏻 other fave coffee spot is Spokesman - stiles switch for bbq - chi’lantro for korean bbq/tex-mex fusion - ramen tatsu-ya - bouldin creek cafe for thee best veggie/vegan comfort food - better half for brunch + coffee + drinks - home slice and pinthouse for pizza - patrizi’s for pasta - juiceland for smoothies bars/clubs: - cheer up charlie’s 🌈✨ - kitty cohen’s 🌴 - barbarella 👯‍♀️ def go to barton springs and/or the greenbelt to enjoy the green space. zilker park may be cliché to some but I used to LOVE spending Sunday afternoons there. lots of dogs plus humans playing games, dancing, or just chilling. people-watching opportunities are 👌🏻

you prob know about some of these but if you don't... snake island–you need some kind of water vehicle to get there but it's on the east side of the lake and has a rope swing and picnic table. fun to paddle board to and day drink on casa de luz–delicious vegan place with absolutely holy vibes. go after barton for a beautiful wholesome day city wide vintage sale–happens every couple months I have scored so many times here red bluff–take a short hike to this little set of table and chairs that overlooks the city. great date spot hill country–get out of austin and go to krause springs, reimers park, windy point, pedernales etc. beautiful summer day activity. finish it off with jester king pizza and beer and baby goats

being sincere is in, thinking you’re always the most interesting person in the room is OUT. take the opportunity to learn from this random human you have crossed paths with at the function. make a big impact with a little, casual convo. what are they into? how did they get into their line of work? what did they eat that day? what is their biggest fear? (lol) small talk is only shallow if you let it be. tell someone working in a super busy place that they’re doing great and you hope they get a breather soon. compliment an outfit you like when you see it. tell someone when you notice their beautiful smile. quick interactions =/= insignificant

very satisfying to prolong the life of things in a world where not very many things are made to last. just applied renovating cream to my blundstones. cleaning my car, sewing up holes or tears in clothing, trimming the wicks of candles, and using slip-on covers for old books fall into this category too
