lol, I ādid attendā with some college friends and it was a spectacle. people dressed up like it was a music festival to fit the themes in the note, the brewery on girard made a special jalapeƱo ipa for the event. I still quote āof course, youāll be sedated firstā
last night i went to a summer solstice costume party in the woods in full clown paint (not pictured) actually it was very bad. about 30 high school jock types showed up and i had to leave because i felt like one of the cops in Superbad. turns out 20 is a weird age and sociable adults like to drink in bars, not secretly in the forest. aesthetically it was a fantastic night though
yuriko invited me to her going away party because I asked to try her ginger beer when she recād it a while back. the ginger beer apparently exploded before it could be served but I met some cool people, ate some nice cake, lost at chess, and had a good time. if socializing is your thing I recommend the experience, kinda fun to be the mysterious stranger at the function.
Get a haircut, get rid of some clothes you havenāt worn in years, get a new houseplant, get in touch with the changing season, get grounded, get stoned, get in touch with some old friends, get some ice cream, get going
Maybe not *the best* but it was certainly one of the more enjoyable movie theater experiences Iāve had. December 2019, went to a 6pm weekday showing on a whim after a friend called me to see if I could go. I knew next to nothing about the plot, didnāt realize the whole thing would be in black and white and screened in an almost-square aspect ratio, yet was enthralled for every second of it. Turned out to be the last movie I saw in theaters pre-pandemic.
