it’s 3AM, you got some butt ends of the bread loaf left, you toast those suckers up a lil extra toasty, slather with butter, sprinkle with garlic salt, onion powder, msg if you got it, a lil regular salt, eat and go back to bed with every flavor receptor satisfied
ideally: sourdough, sliced, dipped in seasoned olive oil (cracked black pepper, flaky salt, red pepper flakes, lemon juice or zest, and balsamic vinegar). i find it most satiating when the bread is firm and the crust crisp. i am also quite partial to a slice of sourdough paired with a thick slab of salted butter and a square of dark chocolate (80% cacao or higher). to my palate, it’s of utmost import that the bread be room temperature, as the solidity of the butter is the part i love best, and it would surely melt otherwise.
as we all (pi fyi users) know, being into shit is cool.
