Also added my recently watched! I love my top 4 right now, Hitchcock and Jarmusch are my favourite directors as you can probably tell. I’ve shown so many people rope it’s probably starting to get annoying. It’s a tough call between Down by law and Strangers in paradise for me but there’s something about the chemistry between Tom Waits, Robert Benigni and John Laurie that exudes comedy noir. My current obsession. Heard it in the film the Killer by David Fincher a few weeks ago and have been unable to stop listening to in since then. It’s such a sultry song.
My favorite poem changes frequently, but this one hit me hard recently. “How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.”
Such a beautiful description of unrequited love.
