oh man this is Controversial for people who were into emo music in like 2019/2020 (essay on the trials and tribulations of Fourth/Fifth Wave emo forthcoming), but what a cool band. dropping one of the all time modern classic angsty records "Greatest Hits", and then, though not without controversy, trying to craft a really unique power pop song. their new stuff? Not as good as "Greatest Hits" and the Title Fight-y stuff they have since tried to remove, but I like that they have a vision for songwriting! Also, Minnesota music! It's great!

one of my teenage favorites released a really layered beach boys-esque album, certainly a far cry from their punk days, but I like that they decided to do new things with their music!

truly some of the best emo music i’ve heard in years. usually i’m not an album guy but they have almost no skips which for me is a great feat. i love the duet vocals that carry such sweetness and melancholy over each track. thank you so much numero group for resurfacing these guys and i’m so happy to have discovered them last year 🫶

I know Hot Mulligan is considered emo but some of their pop punk stuff has given me hope for the genre. the harsh vocals and genuine lyrics just go so hard with the pop sound. I'm usually like turn that shit off but when it comes to them, it's different

so much to talk about, the sunglasses, the scarf, the fresh baguette and coffee, the always lovely cafe setting. I think this is the most swag ever captured on camera I aspire to be at this level
