Bobs

Earlier this year, my hairdresser (the fantastic Sonny Molina) cut my hair closer to a bob, and honestly, I’ve never felt hotter in my life. It exposed my neck (I have a nice neck) and though it’s not for everyone, just think about all the cool, crazy women out there who have rocked a bob: Anna Wintour, Joan Didion, Lucia on The White Lotus, Debbie Harry, Carey Mulligan. Ok that’s kind of a questionable list of ladies, but at least they all have great hair.

Bangs

I recently got bangs, which is something I had avoided because I didn’t want to look like a carbon copy of my mom (we already look pretty similar) but now that I have them I really love them. they make me feel closer to her in a weird way. photo of her below for reference

there are so many ways to evade the subway money taker! (jump, crawl, parkour, 911 exit) and then you can ride the train while solving a puzzle and listening to your favorite flow or staring at the grey 😫 sky 10/10 bonus points for making direct eye contact with the turnstile watchpeople

Can’t sleep? French films.

or any film in a foreign language on mubi. press play and lie back. your eyes may be too tired to read the subtitles but your brain will subconsciously work to understand the audio and thus silence any other software you have running. also, french is a euphonic and unstressed language. i have knocked out to ‘un film dramatique’ in 30 minutes or less every night this week.
