I've found myself at a major decision point in my life and I haven't been able to decide what I want for myself, so I decided to call an old work friend for advice. We hadn't spoken in years despite floating in the same professional circles and sharing many mutual froends, so I was fairly nervous to give him a call after so long. He was so excited to be able to provide me guidance and really cleared a lot up in my mind. I knew he'd be the one to have the most helpful things to say for my situation, I'm glad I got over myself and made the call.
having been on the other end of this as well, I can confidently say nothing feels better in a friendship than having the privilege of guiding those you care about. relationships are built on support, asking for it will make you closer than anything else ever could.
