☁️reading, writing and arithmetic is one of my favorite albums so it’s a high i’ve been chasing for years. i feel like it’s very hard to replicate 1:1 but here’s some things that personally evoke similar feelings.
the cardigans 1994 album emmerdale - sweet vocals + running through fields vibes for sure
faye wong’s ECO PACK-王菲-浮躁- light hearted basslines and playful melodies
alice phoebe lou- any of her work, really. not an exact match sonically, but there’s a similar sense of whimsy in her voice and lyricism.
this song by hey cowboy!
tiger trap’s 1993 self titled- a similar sense of atmospheric cheekiness, but faster in a lot of parts with much fuzzier guitars.
