I loved the sound of this last album and hearing live renditions with the country/folky sound was perfect. The Frost is one of my favorites and obviously i enjoy all of the classics (i bet on losing dogs, first love/late spring, happy, etc.) but the one that really surprised me was the new rendition of Love Me More. I really enjoyed the original version but the folk rendition was so good! Also, obviously I love My Love Mine All Mine (was my most listened to song of last year!) and hearing it live was all i couldāve asked for. Might convince myself to go again tonight!
sheās a once in a generation phenomenon. if im being honest i wasnāt that excited to go to the concert cause i went alone and its my third time seeing her but god. i dont listen to her music as much anymore because i just dont think its good for me to feel so much all the time but i used to listen to her a lot when things got rough. i didnāt even do my usual āconcert prepā this time (listening to some of the artistās work/setlist before the concert). but it was so good. brought me back to the way life felt before and yet i could observe safely from a distance. she played thursday girl briefly and i almost cried. she played some songs in a different arrangement (i dont smoke turned country) and it was a hit. life is so beautiful
I sneaked in with my friend who worked at the venue. got front row of the balcony. it was magical. Her stripped back and subtly choreographed performance was so inspiring. A close second was seeing her with the full band in May. seeing them both was perfection as I could compare the differences in scale and really feel how much staging and arrangement can affect the atmosphere of a show. Theyāre performances that will stay with me forever.
On letterboxd. Like how do you rate the Virgin Suicides or Killer of the Flower Moon?! So heavy and devastating!
Fully sticking to just saying whether i like a movie or not going forward!
coworker who followed me on letterboxd on my second day working there, who i rarely see, complimented my reviews this week and i got giddy as hell. She had me stuttering and i havent come down from that high, sheās so cool too
