Like a cheap spa without leaving the neighborhood, especially recommend adding a slow walk in if it’s nice out.

I'm on vacation and am relying on a friend for transportation, but this morning he was busy and I didn't want to sit inside and rot for hours, so... I walked to get coffee. I'm staying in, like, the middle of a bunch of warehouses, so it's not a short walk either. I had someone stop and ask me if I was ok because literally no one walks around here. But I'll tell you, sitting down with your iced coffee after such a long walk is so rewarding. I highly recommend it. Plus, like, look at that coffee, it was worth it.

It’s been discussed here and there on this platform through different recommendations before, BUT I feel that there’s an almost holy level of beauty to Sunday slow-start rituals that needs to be emphasized. Maybe you sleep in a little longer than during a harried work week, maybe you randomly wake up early and quietly steep yourself in the sunlight as it starts to filter into your favorite room in your space, perhaps a physical edition of a Sunday newspaper or periodical to thoughtfully consider (or even to just sort of stare at), slow-sipping that delicious caffeinated beverage you start each and every day with, some warm and cozy jazz or folk accenting the proceedings in the background (centering you spiritually). Treat yourself. Life can rule if you let it.

walked an hour to a cafe I’ve been wanting to go to, drank my blueberry latte outside, and walked home
