nothing fancy here - just my iphone on low exposure. a really special night (shared by someone with whom i‘m no longer familiar). i love how warm the picture feels, even with all the blue tones. or maybe that’s just my nostalgia colouring it differently.

they had their frame rate (ISO? idk the term) too low and it let in all this fun motion blur in the lights that makes the photo of me seem really ethereal. in reality i was just standing with some friends in a circle at a bar in midtown nashville smiling to myself with my ear plugs in. i feel like it really caught my vibe in a cool way tho so its my profile photo for a lot of things now

So if you’ve been on my page for 2 seconds you’ll know I like vintage and weird. So today i decides to share this photo with you.
I took this on my iPhone . It’s a product photo for the ring worn.
My vision:
So I wanted the photo to show the ring in all it’s glory.
So I chose B&W.
It really allows me to play with the light and shadows. And not hafto worry about the pesky colour.
Plus’s it adda structure.
I wanted the photo to have depth.
For me it’s not just a product Photo meant to sell something, but it’s photography.
My best work is when I’m passionate about what I’m doing.

Maybe it’s just my frontal lobe developing but I’ve been really simplifying the aesthetics of my life lately… no more dyed hair or heavy makeup… pared back outfits, plain nails and switching auto-caps back on…. Investing in the quality and durability of things/people in my life rather than the folly of aesthetic currency.
Theres something awesome about feeling like I’m enough as a person on the inside without trying so hard to reflect it on the outside. I don’t have to be the most interesting person in a room anymore! I can just be :)
