After Asuka's Raw Women's Championship win, Kairi Sane introduces a segment to celebrate Asuka. Asuka comes out to her music. Kairi hands her flowers. Asuka then summarizes the events of the previous week. For some reason Kairi gestures around the WWE logo on the Raw Women's Championship. Kairi then proceeds to go through Asuka's accomplishments that make her WWE's second Grand Slam Champion (after the designation for women was created after Bayley's SmackDown Women's Championship win at Money in the Bank 2019). Kairi pulls out a greenish, translucent, glittery recorder. As Kairi starts to play the recorder Nia Jax comes out. Predictably Nia hates this celebration. Nia suggests Asuka lucked into winning the title and that she's more worthy of the title. Asuka kicks Nia, delivers a hip attack to Nia, and yells in Japanese.

There is a Backlash rematch between Asuka and Nia for the Raw Women's Championship. Asuka is interviewed by Charly Caruso. Charly asks if Nia is too menacing for Asuka. Asuka mostly speaks in Japanese, ending her statement with "easy-peasy. Nia Jax started this fight. Asuka will finish it." In a pre-match interview Nia says Asuka lucked out at Backlash. Asuka can dance around like a clown but when Nia wins she'll be doing a victory dance of her own, she says. Early on Nia is able to escape some of Asuka's submissions. The match goes to commercial after Nia hits a powerbomb. Asuka hits Nia with double knees, a shining wizard, and even a double stomp off the turnbuckle, but it isn't enough. Nia hits Asuka with a Samoan drop but Asuka's foot is under the bottom rope. Nia pushes the ref, allowing Asuka to get a rollup pin.

There is a recap of Asuka and Nia's feud up until the last episode of Raw. The commentators feel Asuka may not be focused because of everything that has happened to her over the past few weeks. They think Nia is "arrogant." Nia dominates the match early but Asuka is able to counter with submissions. Nia counters with a jackhammer. She says "Where's Kairi" which enrages Asuka. Asuka fights back with kicks. Nia attempts to pin Asuka but fails. An Asuka armbar pushes Nia outside of the ring. They never make it back to the ring. Asuka tries another armbar attempt outside the ring. Asuka kicks Nia as both are counted out. After hitting a hip attack, Asuka takes her title and leaves.

Asuka find Kairi with an ice pack on her head. She asks if Kairi is okay. Asuka is irate. Asuka finds Nia and kicks Nia in the head.

Since all of this is not on YouTube. On this episode of SmackDown the Tokyo tour dates are recapped, complete with footage of the Kabuki Warriors winning against the IIconics in Tokyo. A backstage segment (linked here) follows where Paige and the Kabuki Warriors confront the IIconics for the title shot they were promised. The IIconics delay the title match. The segment ends with face manager Paige slapping Billie Kay.

Drafts is what I use for a lot of things between my iPad and a webpage. I’m using this to take pointless notes about the Kabuki Warriors things I’m watching on Peacock. Like any gaps in Kabuki Warriors appearances. Or deciding maybe I’m not too crazy about the IIconics as an onscreen tag team after all. Or my irritation with this one smark blog (now defunct for a very good reason, name of blog withheld here) I’m using to find their appearances.
