it still fucking whips. maybe it’s guilty by association so it’s never been considered an emo electroclash classic but it’s really got an incredible sound
this playlist was made in 2022 and this "sound" is not so new anymore, but i feel like we still havent seen the nu electroclash sound properly documented beyond The Dare and Snow Strippers. there's far too much focus on "indie sleaze" revival when the attention should have been on this new take on the sound, which to me feels like much more than simply nostalgia-bait... but what can i say, i love buzzing synths, dance drums, and pop hooks
