Collect memories, and items that are incredibly personal and meaningful to you specifically. Collect over a long period of time so you can continue to feel joy and excitement when you find another treasure.
So collect plush Scooby Doo blankets from the early 2000s, and smile to yourself when you pull one out on a cold day. Collect silly and impractical mugs, and laugh with your friends when you serve them warm tea. Collect little match boxes from your favorite local places even though you don’t smoke. When you collect something you love, it’s like filling your space with love, and in turn, loving yourself.

🎱one of my childhood pleasures that have stuck w me since. i love realizing i own 2 things of the same nature and deciding to expand my collection HOWEVER it needs to be a sincere collection (something u build over a long period of time and where each item has a little backstory) as opposed to an artificial one (getting 30 items in one go from the same place.) so far i have a silver rings collection and a "rocks that have a strange shape or pattern" one!
