Ok I just remembered that I have access to the same YouTube account I’ve had since childhood. This is what I was listening to age 14/15 on the family desktop while playing Jam Buster on the CBBC website, talking to my friends on MSN, feeding my neopets, and scrolling tumblr.
every now and then i like to go on youtube dot com and watch old commercials & bumpers from the past. also love going on wayback machine and reminding myself what my favourite childhood websites used to look like. feels like i’m transported back in time !!
Just an easy way to kill time. Sometimes I’ll find an old music video I wanna watch like idk let’s say A-Punk by vampire weekend and I’ll watch it on the way back machine YouTube instead of regular YouTube, for immersion. A lot of the times this doesn’t work fully cus it’ll say u need a flash player or something from 2008 BUT you can read comments from that time still. pretty sick. HeavensGate.com is probably a close third.
i know it’s kind of a circular response but literally putting in any url is so fascinating . i forgot what youtube used to look like in the early 2000s and it was a delightfully fun little nostalgia tour:)
