I have a sweet tooth overall that I try to manage with more reasonably-sized treats but I’ve also learned that it’s important to have on hand, for various emotional crises ranging from full-on breakup depression to mild irritation, a huge slice of cake. Like, grocery-store proportions, ungodly number of calories, in the fridge or freezer to be eaten over a few days.

last week i bought a costco chocolate cake because i felt like it, and it was so good and it brought me so much joy. sometimes one needs to eat cake for breakfast. and that’s okay.

Leaving it out on your counter to graze on is so lovely. It’s one of those things that makes me remember that I am an adult with free will and I can do whatever I want including making an elaborate Bundt cake.

Never before have I so noticeably been able to turn down my anxiety like turning the volume knob on a stereo. Doesn’t make you feel overall as “altered” as weed but just calms the nervous system like a warm bath. I can’t really do weed anymore anyway so I’m very grateful to have found this stuff.

A classic flavor combination that‘s worth a reminder as the weather starts to warm up. Good quality prosciutto or jamón ibérico and fresh juicy melon. I just had some today and forgot what I had been missing out on.
