RE DISCOVERING MY LOVE OF READING

I used to really enjoy reading growing up. But all the assigned readings for university sort of killed my desire to read for pleasure. Im working on finding it again. Not trying to start with anything profound or classic. But a fun little read in the sunshine today was just what I needed

If you start reading again, you'll feel better. If you read in an omnivorous and far flung manner your days will get better. You will have more to say and more to think about. You can become an evangelical for reading from a place of pure desire and care. Unusual books contain unusual knowledge.
I will post books as an act of human class solidarity. Most posts will include a link to a digital copy, but you will love going to the library. We are lucky to get to hold books in our hands.

reading for pleasure

In an effort to decentralize social media in my life, I started reading again… and I didn’t realize what a joy it could be! I couldn’t tell you the last time I read a book of my own accord, but I started with The Bell Jar, and now I’m on Just Kids. They are perfect ways to ease myself into more patience, quietness, and satisfaction. :)

Acoustic guitar guy

We were just hanging out at his place no food, no water, no anything at all he just played music at me for like an hour. I was stuck in place with how awkward it was. He even dedicated a song to me about a “Mexican girl” when I’m Thai and a guy. We don’t talk anymore. Though honestly I’m not even sure it was my worst first date 😔
