Each season does a deep dive into specific albums, track by track. I really liked the first one on Kendrick and the one on In Rainbows. The MF Doom one is the latest and is great so far!

Especially the early episodes w/ the songs integrated into the episode. Host and a special guest go through the history of a band from growing up through their breakup and what they are doing now with in-depth analysis of it. Episodes are usually 3+ hrs. Drove up to MassMOCA area from Boston a couple years ago and crushed the episode on Dave Matthews Band. Iโ€™m linking the one on Fugazi which I listened on a drive to IKEA a couple years ago. I listen to bands Iโ€™m already into or ones that Iโ€™m interested in learning more about.

Just a podcast with three guys talking about albums track by track. It's just very cozy and authentic. They just dropped an episode for Emmylou Harris's Pieces of the Sky album.

Musicians break down the creation of a song of theirs and share the process from start to finish. You also get to hear demos and learn about the lyrics. Really cool inspiring podcast and it's interesting to learn about different genres than you usually listen to.

Here it is, folks! Volume I of what could very well be a continuous project. Thank you so much to everyone that submitted - I smiled the entire time I was putting this together. It's best listened to with headphones โ˜บ๏ธ Liner Notes: This collection of field recordings is a collaborative effort with users of PI.FYI, each of which recorded their own pieces. It features audio from all over the world and exhibits eclectic moments from London Underground commutes to cuckoo bird calls in Dhaka to the sounds of a century-old American diner. Online communities like PI.FYI often represent a diverse set of people, places, and experiences, but together, the submissions form a living collage that highlights the commonalities of modern life - a unifying message for such a tumultuous time. The first track features all of the sounds played at once in an attempt to create an audio snapshot of an online community but in their offline lives. The individual recordings are unedited except for minor gain and compression adjustments for consistency across the collection.
