that is absolutely niche. please tell me you turn that on and then walk out of the room when you have friends over. and yes, playlist should be public on spotify! just search exactly that and i’m sure it’ll be the one and only to pop up

Country Tropics by Old Saw
Warm, atmospheric album that is somehow both terrestrial and divine. Feels monastic and simple, in a clarifying way.
Like lying on your back and watching shadows cast by leaves shimmer on the exposed skin of a friend in the afternoon following a picnic.
Satisfies the stirring feeling in me that Things Must Change and Must Do So Immediately.

birthdays are hard
it’s such a awkward marker of a new year. a weird mix of wanting people to celebrate you, but feeling tired of the obligation to thank everyone that only reaches out once a year. i always find birthdays really hard, and fairly disappointing.
my recommendation is to give yourself grace, and do what makes you happy. i know it’s such a generic rec but this past year on the actual day i just took it easy, treated myself to some takeout, and watched a show in bed. a few days after i got together with friends and we went to a restaurant i love but they’d never really wanted to go to. and then we ate homemade cake and watched a movie.
