riding in the passenger seat (don't tell my mom, she says i'm too little for the front seat) of my dad's beat up 80's volkswagen vanagon and i'm nine years old and my little sister is in the way back back seat and we're going nowhere special maybe driving over the skyway in downtown buffalo and i can see the whole lake and over to canada and we're all happy and singing loud
normally i hate obnoxious people who play really loud music and have their windows down and shake the entire neighborhood when it’s complete silence. i do live on long island tho, so complete silence happens once in a blue corn moon however today i was driving and Me and You by Werner (last name is too long to remember) came on my drive. i thought it to be funny to just blast it as i drove my merry way along and i felt so much internal joy from the absurdity that was that experience i thought it was over for the day until later, The Rake Hornpipe came on. these are all my liked songs by the way, they didn’t just show up. and yes these are liked songs of mine in spotify. no i don’t know why. i was able to do it for a little bit, as the song is really short but memorable. it’s a joy to be dumb sometimes
no idea what sparked this but i just had a random meltdown over baseball. the next note after this one was also abt baseball so i think i was just going thru something
one of the best concept albums of all time. follows a young woman named Ethel Cain (the character, not the artist) as she encounters various men and eventually meets her violent death at the hands of one of the men. truly visceral and even disturbing at some parts but so so good, really recommend giving it a listen
