first big book I read as a kid, felt amazing to finish 500 pages and literally only read about the ups and downs of being friends with a dragon

Red rising

Fair warning, there is a sad bit in the beginning of the novel but once you're over that hump it's a perfect low stress read for the summer sun. There's a very far out kind of feel to it that only gets better with the second book, Golden Son. Once you're over the sad bit, it's a fun ride.

My friend Liam got sent these by accident when he ordered vans and gave them to me since they sent him size 13. These shoes are goofy and I don't know who would buy them but I wear them all the time because I think they're really fun and have a lot of character.
