Discovering new music as a teenager through those late-night bumps felt like uncovering hidden treasures from a world I never knew existed because our family didn't have a computer I could hop onto at any willing time. The way they engaged with us made the network feel personal because it didn’t treat us like passive viewers. Instead of just putting things on TV and calling it a day, they acknowledged that obscure media existed and wanted to share it with us. It felt intentional, like they were curating something special, and that’s what made every night an experience worth tuning in for.

i may be alienating myself here but i never really watched adult swim growing up so going back and watching some of the really old programming is letting me relive the childhood i did not have. my favs r home movies, sealab 2021, moral orel, and of course aqua teen hunger force

my gf and I like to put these on before bed and they’re so oddly soothing and addictive. it’s like suddenly I’m 10 years old again watching Nickelodeon without a care in the world and with no bills to pay

it’s like eating the sun itself

Low Tech Magazine runs on a single solar panel. We take for granted just how much energy is needed to keep up with our digital footprint. The tenet of the magazine is to radically reimagine our technology in more sustainable ways. The website has solar panel data so you can see how charged the website is. Running on solar means the website does go offline at times when the sun isn't out. In a world where access to information is so ubiquitous, it's really cool to have a website that isn't always going to be online.

and then share it anyway. the people who like it will be grateful you did. who cares if people don’t like it? you didn’t make it for them.
