dystopian/post-apoc easy read! I donโt read a ton of books in that genre, but found it really compelling or Bliss Montage, also by Ling Ma, is a great short stories collection. sometimes short stories are the best way for me to break out of a reading slump ๐ค
Absolutely loved this uncanny collection of short stories. Ling Ma creates depth and discomfort in her characters so well, and creeps up on you with narratives thatโll leave you thinking. Severance (her novel) was also one of my favorite reads last year.
when im in a reading slump i go for books that are a collection of short stories. the shorter length makes it easier to finish a story in one sitting so you can have that sense of accomplishment and also variety without a big commitment. some of my faves are:
