SLOW MOMENTS

This evening I went out for a walk in the rain. It wasn’t cold and the red lights of Korean BBQ places made it feel warmer.  I walked into a Blenz coffee shop, a few semi-opened umbrellas were huddled by the entrance and there were about 5 or 6 people inside. I went up to the counter and ordered a hot chocolate, took a seat and looked around. The lights were a cozy warm yellow, and there were postcards and pictures and cute art pinned on the wall. As I waited I listened to the beginning of “Complicated” by Avril Lavigne playing in the background.  Some people worked on their laptops or read while others spoke in low soft voices.  It was a calm moment that made me appreciate those special times when things move slowly.  (My rec- listen to the song but on low volume)
