This is such a good movie, the art is like no other made by Ghibli, super unique and the story is truly beautiful
It made me very emotional and I say that as someone who doesn't get easily moved by movies Also would rec Only yesterday and When marnie was there!
i have cried every single time i have watched this film, and i think as i get older i'll find new moments and ways to do so!!
it is impeccably made and incredibly tender. immense care was clearly put into capturing the minutiae of life, the weight of gestures, the movement of wind, etc.
this all makes the emotional weight of thing that much more brutal!! growing up is hard, watching someone grow up is hard, being alive is hard!! but its so beautiful. yet its so painful that is it always both.
