early high school, i was obsessed with this album. for some reason, it popped back into my psyche earlier this month. guess i’ve been missing that childish bonfire on the beach feeling.

It's that sweet spot between recession pop and the genre blending/experimental music that became more accessible through streaming and social media. The two really blended well during this era.
