ok i’ve lived here for like a year and i mostly move around central london cause my campus is here so bear that in mind maybe…? southbank center and the barbican have really cool stuff going on all the time but you should check what’s on depending on when you’re going. if you’re feeling silly you could go to a private view, i use this website to find them but not all of them are equally great… my favorite park is st james park but like obviously the kew gardens slay… i would say there’s no reason to actually go to soho bc its so crowded and shit but if u wanna go to chinatown then eat at four seasons/little four seasons… im struggling to think of what else there is to do so if u have specific things u wanna do feel free to ask me! i also might actually have amsterdam recs bc i was there last summer….

So many cool things to do (if you can afford them), the arts, parks, food… ā€Vibesā€- the reality is most people stick to their relatively tiny occupational bubbles e.g job, education, which is a shame because of the massive scale and diversity of the city. The diversity can also mean people are relatively cautious and cold on the street as some cultures are more forthcoming than others (native brits being among the least friendly, unless you want to complain about the weatheršŸ™„). Not many interactions with strangers on the street, train etc. here, so much so that I can remember most of them clearly. Maybe that says more about me than it does about LondonšŸ˜‚ Finding good arts/hobby communities makes roaming the city more comfortable as with anywhere. Small enough place that I recognise people after being here only about a year. Manages to be big whilst also human scale, smaller buildings than NYC. Wouldn’t trade it for anywhere else right now.
